Tenzin Lama Sherpa teaches Shamatha and Vipassana, Buddhist meditation, philosophy and Usui Reiki. He serves as an advisor and member of several spiritual organizations in the US. Ordained at the age of 13. Since he was very young, he studied in Tibetan Buddhist monastery Namdroling in Mysore south of India. Throughout his monastic life, he has received endless philosophical teachings, transmissions and initiations from great lamas of Nyingmapa lineage. His root master was H H Penor Rinpoche, Khen Rinpoche Sangey Rangjung Sherpa, Reiki Grand Master Lama Ngawang Rigzin

 Tenzin has studied all the Buddhist Sutras including Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism. He has taught in Nepal, India, Chile, Mexico and throughout the U S. In the monastic life he also gave teachings and he took care of the monks that were sick.

During the devastating period of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Reiki community was left shocked and saddened by the passing of the then Guru Reiki Grand Master, Lama Ngwang Rinzin. Due to his demise, even an esteemed spiritual institution like Nepal Reiki Dhyan Kendra, which had reached great heights, faced a period of uncertainty and instability.

In order to preserve the legacy of the late Guru, his supporters and disciples made tireless efforts, resulting in the convening of a General Assembly on August 02, 2025, and the formation of a new committee. The committee followed various approval processes to select a new Guru and ultimately chose the capable Reiki healer Tenzin Lama Sherpa, a dedicated disciple of the late Guru, for the position.

Nepal Reiki Dhyan Kendra and all Reiki healers extend their heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed Guru, Mr. Tenzin Lama Sherpa. At the same time, we offer our sincere tribute and heartfelt condolences to our revered late Guru, Lama Ngwang Rinzin.
